Making Predator Leaders, the best method!
When fishing for pike, a leader is a must. The dyneema lines that are currently used for pike are very strong, but they are by no means resistant to pike teeth. Hence an underline. Prevents line breakage, wasting expensive lures and protects the pike.
You can buy leaders ready-made, but they are often not exactly the way you want them to be. All that remains is to make your leaders, fun to do and it also saves you €uros compared to ready-made leaders.
In the photos you can see step by step how we make our leaders.
Components
-Leader material (titanium/ flexonit)
-2x Sleeves
-1x Snap
-1x Swivel
-2x 1.5cm Heat shrink tubing
Tools
-Side Cutters (Knipex!)
-Sleeve Pliers
You can use leader material to make your own leaders here find in our shop.

You can use a lighter to shrink the shrink tubing, but it is better to use boiling water to prevent damage to the material. Hot steam is also sufficient.
We often refer to the above method as the 'back stitch' method. The leader material is put back into the sleeve once more. This method is a must, especially with smooth material, such as the Knot2kinky titanium. A single piercing is not sufficient. The chance that the titanium will come out of the sleeve is then too great.
Whether it concerns titanium leaders, flexonit leaders, we make the vast majority of leaders according to the steps above. Use it to your advantage!
