Make your own Pike Spinnerbaits for the best catch guaranteed!
Spinnerbaits, which predator fisherman doesn't know them? They are good catchers all year round, they are easy to fish and available in different shapes and sizes. Perhaps the best known pike spinnerbait is the Grinder. Equipped with a number of silicone skirts and usually a willowleaf top. You can buy these grinders ready-made, but how much more is it to make grinders for pike yourself? The blog below is about that.
Pike Spinnerbaits, also called Grinders, are best fished on a reel with a low retrieve speed and a baitcaster. The advantage of the type of Spinnerbait that we are discussing here (the Grinder) is that it is very easy to fish through the plants due to the single blade. Pondweed in particular is ideal for this. When fishing inland, you all too often feel the stems of the pondweed as your Grinder makes its way through the water in search of a lurking pike. Furthermore, a long fishing rod is recommended. This is so that you can properly place your lure and control the pike as it dives into the plants!

Pimping your Pike Spinnerbait
The spinnerbait in the photo catches its fish without a doubt. However, you can make the spinnerbait even more attractive (we call that pimping). You can do this by threading a twister onto the trailer hook and/or giving the head a color with a marble paint can. We also have colored spinnerbait heads in our catalogue. So handy!
