About UV active lures
UV has nothing to do with glowing in the dark, or very bright colors. Simply put, UV light is light that falls outside the part of the light spectrum visible to humans.
We cannot detect UV light with the naked eye, but this is different in nature. When illuminated with a UV lamp (black light), we can simulate how a fish perceives this. (see picture)
It is not without reason that our... fluorescent chartreuse is a popular color for many softbait fishermen. This color glows extremely brightly under a UV lamp.
In dark conditions and/or in cloudy water, 'UV active' lures will certainly give you an advantage!
