Tandem Spinners for pike making, magical lure for the polder!
The Poldersnoek season is coming again. I think that's wonderful. Enjoy a stroll with light equipment:) Coming home with a glowing head and the necessary exercise... A bait that always works in the Polder is the (2-bladed) Tandem Spinner. You can read how to make these Top Spinners yourself in this article.
Supplies

Not much needed for a Killer bait

Step 1
First thread a piece of (5mm) 1.6mm heat shrink tubing onto the spinning rod and slide it over the windings of the first eye. Now thread the components onto the spinning rod as shown below. Finally, we thread a piece of shrink tubing onto the rod. This will soon also be around the windings of the second eye. We use the shrink tubing to neatly finish off sharp edges that arise when cutting.

Step 2
Now, using round nose pliers, bend the spinning rod at a right angle, approximately 4 cm from the rider. Now bend the straight part of the eye (see arrow) to the right.

Step 3
Now you can use your fingers and a pair of pliers to twist the bent piece of rod around the main rod once.
Step 4
Now slide the 2nd piece of shrink tubing over the winding and shrink it by holding it over a flame. The Tandem Spinner is now ready. What is still missing is a treble hook or a single hook.
Step 5
I am now installing a treble hook that I have decorated with some red tubing. Simply cut and slide over the eye of the hook.
Step 6
I then mount the treble hook to the spinner with a split ring (#4). A super tandem spinner for the Polder is the result!
And then you always hope for a nice pike as a result!
